The town of Lobo is located near the southern tip of Batangas province, about 145 kilometres (90 miles) from Manila. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the municipality has a land area of 175.03 square kilometres (67.58 square miles) constituting 5.61% of the 3,119.75 square kilometre (1,204.54 sq miles) total area of Batangas.
In 2005, Submarine Garden was declared as a fish sanctuary. When the villagers, fishermen and local fisheries officials discovered that the sanctuary attracted more and more fishes, the entire 3 kilometres (1.9 miles) shoreline and 300 metres (980 feet) fronting the shores have been declared a protected area.
For Tourist who will visit the Municipality of Lobo
Any person who visits or enters Lobo is required to pay the Environment User's fee (EUF). This EUF refers to the charges imposed to any person who is not a resident thereof, that the purpose of entry is to enjoy and experience the natural wonders of the various tourist destinations and the services provided by the natural environment or habitat within the area.
The EUF will cost Thirty Pesos (PHP 30.00) per person and shall be collected by its designated and authorized collectors. Normally, the collectors would be collecting EUF fees near the designated checkpoint areas on Lobo town boundaries. This environmental fee shall be good only for the entire stay in Lobo until your departure or exit.
Banks and ATM
When you travel to Lobo, make sure to bring some cash during your visit and keep small bills handy. There are ATM machines inside the City office and 7 eleven but they are not always available for withdrawal.
